This c-notch is designed to fit behind the stock backseat and to have the correct profile of the frame. It has the “Top Hat” design of the OEM frame. This notch will allow you to lay frame on a 28” diameter tire. The material is 10 gauge steel that is laser cut and CNC broke to provide accurate fitting parts. Each side comes as 4 individual pieces already shaped to fit with 3 internal gussets that must be welded together. The internal gussets make squaring the notch easier than a standard weld together c-notch.

We also offer this as a welded assembly. The top, sides, and internal gussets are 100% TIG welded together beautifully and makes the install that much easier. All you have to do from there is place the c-notch on to your chassis, weld it in, cut the notch out, and then weld the bottom in place. This welded assembly will save you about 2 hours of time!

This works with all 1949, 1950, 1951, 1952, 1953, and 1954 Chevy cars. All notches are sold as a pair.
