If you are looking for the best kit for your 41-48 Chevy car, look no further. We have spent a lot of time designing our own version of the MII or Mustang II front suspension. The only thing that is actually MII is the spindles. We designed this to be the easiest kit to install, the best looking, and best constructed kit available. Our front kit differs from all of the other kits available for these cars in numerous ways. Our bolt-in crossmember is constructed of 10 gauge steel, 100% TIG welded, internally gusseted, double shear mounting of the lower control arms, and we have built-in tow hooks to conveniently strap your car down. Another way our kit differs is that we actually use a Moog ball joint on our lower control arms that were designed to be used as a lower ball joint. The majority of the MII kits available utilize a ball joint designed to be used on the upper ball joint only. The loads on an upper ball joint are substantially less than on a lower ball joint. Our lower control arms are fully boxed and internally gusseted. All of our frontend alignment is done off of the lower control arm mounting bolts. This helps with accessibility of doing an alignment. Our upper control arms are made from .500” steel plate. The upper control arm mount assembly locates on the frame using existing holes in the chassis. We also incorporated the shock mount into this assembly to save you time. Our kit comes standard with a sway bar, all Grade 8 hardware, Monroe shocks, Wilwood GM metric brake calipers, OEM rotors and brake pads, and power steering is standard. If you want a manual rack just leave a note in the order and we will swap it out.
When swapping out the original suspension with ours, you will need to make provisions for the core support to bolt back in place. You can add ours in the menu.
This works with all 1941, 1942, 1946, 1947, and 1948 Chevy cars.
This is a complete kit hub-to-hub minus the air bags and fittings. Please allow 10-12 weeks for delivery.
